Local ceramic artist and potter James Olney of oak cliff pottery will be teaching us how to make “Guinomi” Sake Cups on Tuesday April 25th starting at 6pm. The Class will be about two hours long. He will be supplying the materials and teaching you how to make a sake cup by hand as well as giving you the history of Japanese pottery and styles throughout Japan. After you have completed your own favorite piece, James will bring it back to his studio and fire it in his kiln so it can be used. After fired, we will inform you when ready for pick up at Tei Tei (approximately 2 weeks). Upon pick up, we will pour you a free Junmai Sake as your first sip off of your very own “Guinomi” sake cup and take it home for yours to keep. SPACE IS LIMITED TO ONLY 20 PEOPLE and is first come first served. Please pre-pay here to reserve your seat. The price is a non-refundable $50/person.
